Benefits Package

Paid Time Off

In addition to receiving up to 14 paid holidays, New View provides 189 hours (27 days) of PTO in your first year of full time employment!  Time is accrued monthly (annual number of hours worked divided by 12, available for use at the beginning of each month).  Employees are encouraged to use their time away to recharge and practice self-care. However, if your preference is to save a little time for emergencies, you can carry forward up to 15 days of the current year’s accrual. Up to an additional 7 days of current year accruals may rollover into a Health Reserve Bank (used only for absences that meet the definition of a Serious Health Condition under FMLA or covered by a doctor’s note for less serious illnesses and appointments).  

New View PTO Accruals:  1 – 3 years:  189 hours (27 days)
                                                     3 – 20 years:  231 hours (33 days)
                                                     Years 20+:  266 hours (38 days)

 

Medical and Dental Insurance

Medical and Dental insurance are available to employees who regularly work a minimum of twenty hours per week. Coverage is normally effective on the first day of the month following your date of hire with New View Alliance contributing up to 90% of your monthly premium. Our current health insurance provider is Independent Health.

 

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts are available to employees who regularly work a minimum of twenty hours per week and enroll in certain medical plans. These accounts allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for unreimbursed health care expenses as well as dependent care expenses. Take advantage of these accounts to use pre-tax income for qualifying expenses while reducing your taxable earnings and saving money!

Vision Insurance

New View Alliance offers optional stand-alone vision coverage above and beyond the standard vision discount provided through the medical benefit alone. Our current vision insurance provider is Guardian (Davis Network).

403b Retirement Savings Plan

Prepare for your future by contributing directly to your retirement account using pre-tax income.  After one year of full time employment, we provide employees up to a 3.5% employer contribution!

To protect our employees and their loved ones in the event they can no longer provide a regular paycheck we provide the following:

•    Long-Term Disability:  Full-time employees are enrolled in company-paid long-term disability insurance the first of the month following hire.   (60% of monthly salary.  $5000 maximum monthly benefit).

•    Life Insurance: Full-time employees receive company-paid life insurance equivalent to two times their annual salary plus an additional $15,000 the first of the month following hire.    Full-time employees can also choose up to $250,000 of additional voluntary life insurance, as well as cover a spouse and children. 

Employee Assistance Program
Our EAP is available to help employees manage difficult situations in their personal lives. This confidential advice and support system that is free and available for employees and their families for assistance in any area of their life.

Tuition and Professional Development
Full-time employees who are working to invest in their professional career through higher education or professional development could be eligible for up to $8,000 reimbursement for degrees or $750 for certifications and licensures.

You may also qualify for additional Student Loan Forgiveness and NYS Scholarships!
Public Service Loan Forgiveness may allow you to have the remaining balance forgiven on your Direct Loans after you’ve made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working Full-Time (30+hours) for a qualifying employer! 

Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program

You may be eligible for forgiveness of up to $17,500 on your loans after teaching Full-Time for 5 complete and consecutive academic years!

New York State Loan Forgiveness Programs for NYS Residents 

Throughout the year, NYS makes Loan Forgiveness Programs available for staff who work in critical human service areas! New View Alliance promotes and encourages staff to apply for these programs when they are open. They include the Loan Forgiveness for Licensed Social Workers and NYS Child Welfare Worker Loan Forgiveness Program.
